New Video Upload: How I Plan My Weekly Menu & My Get Fit Planner!

Hello, Everyone!

I can’t believe it’s almost October and I haven’t made any planner videos for the year! Well I’ve got a really good reason – I was all over the place with it! LOL It’s taken me months to finally figure out a system that works for me. You see, starting in January 2017, I decided I didn’t want my weekly menu planning to be so structured.

So, I started a new system that’s been slowly evolving since then. Months of seeing what has worked, with activity as well as meals have finally made it possible to show you what I’m doing. I hope you find it useful.

Before we get into the tips, there are a few things to remember.  First, I only usually plan my dinners as my breakfast is almost always the same. I usually have egg whites with veggies (every day it’s a different combination!) and a side of avocado bagel/toast. Then, depending on the points I’ll spend for dinner, I’ll either add more to my breakfast, or use my points for snacks. Trust me, it all works out!

I’m really loving the freedom this system gives me and the feeling of empowerment and control over what I’m eating. It’s awesome!

So here are my tips for planning my weekly menu:

1) Get an Index Card (or something to write on)

2) Do a Food Inventory

  • check your refrigerator, freezer, and panty to see what you have on hand

3) Make a Weekly Menu

Things I Keep in Mind When Menu Planning

  • Is there something I’m craving this week?
  • Is there a new recipe I want to try?
  • Is there something I need to use this week before it spoils?

4) Make a Shopping List

5) Download/Print coupons

6)  Grocery Shopping

7) Track Every Meal on the Weight Watchers App.

8) Record Weekly Meals & Activity
